Zack Woods Herb Farm is a dream that we've been cultivating for the last 10 years and like any good dream, it is taking us on a beautiful and worthy journey.
We began our farm with two clear missions and they continue to be our guiding principles today.
- Our first priority is to be good stewards of the land and to protect the medicinal plants that we cherish.
- Our second commitment is to create a sustainable organic farm that provides people with the highest quality medicinal herbs available.
These principles guide our work and all that we do here on the farm. Over the years we have worked collaboratively with some of the finest herbalists, farmers, and researchers from across the United States and Canada. We have also participated in research studies and continue to host numerous educational tours and internships in an effort to share knowledge about the cultivation and preservation of medicinal plant populations.
All of our herbs are organically grown or ethically wild harvested on the farm and exhibit the incredible vitality that flows through our land. Zack Woods Herb Farm is a 10-acre certified organic medicinal herb farm and botanical sanctuary located in the heart of the green mountains of northern Vermont. We have majestic mountain views and are surrounded by pristine forests and streams. It is on this little piece of heaven that in 1999 we began our dream of living and farming sustainably while providing people with the highest quality medicinal herbs. All of our herbs are organically grown or ethically wild harvested and exhibit the incredible life force that flows through our land. Quality and integrity are our guiding principles. We start by feeding our soils to provide the plants with the proper nutrients. All of the harvesting is done by hand at the peak of potency with pure healing intent. The herbs are then dried immediately in our wood-fired warm air drying shed where humidity and temperature are carefully monitored to ensure maximum constituent levels. From there, the herbs are minimally processed and packaged by hand. The finished product is of the highest quality available. Try them; we are sure you will agree! |
